Please join Lisa MacLeod, MPP Nepean Carlton and Critic for Revenue and Accountability who is coming to Oakville on May 13th to give us an update on the HST. Lisa is a vibrant and outspoken advocate for Ontario residents. She'll go beyond the headlines you've read in the papers or online and provide a realistic assessment of the impact of the HST. What you should know before you cash your HST rebate cheque (that will hopefully arrive in June!).
Please join us for a brief presentation and Q&A in the Program Room at Oakville's Central library. This is a free, public information session that will be of interest to everyone - adults & youth, families, seniors, business owners and service providers. While it is too late to stop the HST from being implemented, there are still some significant issues that need public attention including the moratorium on rate changes and the nonsense "severance packages" for PST collectors who are not actually losing their jobs.
