Join us on Saturday September 11th, 2010 for the first Harbourside Organic Farmers’ Market Tomato Festival. This is a chance to sample some of the season’s best organic tomatoes and chat with the farmers who grow them. Also at the festival will be a showcase of tasty tomato treats prepared by our market vendors.
While at Harbourside Organic Farmers’ Market, take part in our Tomato Scavenger Hunt from 9:30 a.m. to noon for your chance to win a market gift basket filled by our market vendors.
At this event, the Oakville Sustainable Food Partnership [OSFP] is recognizing The Ontario Trillium Foundation for their support with a two-year grant of $37 500.00. This grant has allowed OSFP to facilitate the growth of Harbourside Organic Farmer’s Market in downtown Oakville. This grant has helped and will continue to help work towards developing Oakville residents’ access to a local, sustainable food system. |
