We want to acknowledge the decision to cancel the proposed power plant and ask the Premier:
- To implement the first recommendation of the government sponsored Balsillie Report on Air Quality and designate the Oakville/Clarkson airshed for a pilot study
- To establish buffer zones for any future power plants in Ontario
On February 11th, Premier McGuinty is coming to Oakville for lunch. This marks the first visit of the Premier to our community since before September 30, 2009 – the day the Ontario government announced their plans to build the Oakville Generating Station.
We will meet at the entrance, The Rally will last about an hour, just for the time that guests are arriving for the lunch. They are expecting 500 attendees, and the media will be present. It would be wonderful to have C4CA well represented. Bring your signs!
We have a unique opportunity to get Premier McGuinty’s attention directly. Let’s take advantage. Please take an hour and join us.
