Councillor Keith Bird was born in St. Catharines and has lived in Oakville since 1969. He has served southeast Oakville residents as Member of Council from 1976 to 1988 and 1991 to the present. In 2010, he was elected to his 12th term as the Regional and Town Councillor for Ward 3.

Councillor Bird worked for 30 years throughout Ontario and the Maritimes as the Regional Manager for TRW - a multi-billion dollar automotive parts manufacturer - until his retirement in 1992.

Over the years, Councillor Bird has served on a number of committees including the Halton Region Police Services Board and the Halton Region Conservation Authority.

Councillor Bird and his wife, Gail, have two children - Stephen and Elaine.

Councillor Dave Gittings and his wife Susan have resided in  Ward 3 for the past 25 years. Their three children attended  Chisholm, EJ James, and Oakville Trafalgar High School.

Recently retired after a 30 year career in advertising management at the Toronto Star, this is Dave's first  term on Town Council.

Dave has been actively involved in both the business community and  with  a wide range of Oakville associations and groups.
