2014-04-10 - As our communities continue to grow, it becomes impossible to “add back” greenspace.  We in Ward 3 are well aware of this problem.  Whereas the Town has already met provincial mandates for development intensification in other areas, it seems unnecessary and undesirable to add more development in areas where it is not required or wanted.  The Chartwell-Maple Grove Residents Association would like to express support for the protection of greenspace and the retention of public open space zoning in the Merton lands in Ward 4.  Although we are not in close proximity to these lands, issues such as this affect the quality of life for all residents in Oakville.
